Request for Proposal – Portfolio alignment ACAI technical expert

WWF International invites qualified firms or consultancies to submit proposals for providing technical expertise to the Finance Practice's Portfolio Alignment Area of Collective Action and innovation (ACAI).

This ACAI was created in 2007 with the dual objectives of aligning financial portfolios with the Paris Agreement and mobilizing financial institutions to commit to portfolio alignment. Since its inception, major milestones have been achieved, including the creation of the NZAOA and the development of the ITR methodology. This internal working group comprises about 40 members from the Finance Practice, located in over a dozen offices worldwide.

The ACAI's strategy is composed of 4 main workstreams aiming at incentivizing financial institutions to:

• set science-based Net Zero pathways, with a specific focus on SBTi as a gold standard,

• measure alignment, with a specific focus in promoting the Implied Temperature Rise methodology developed by WWF Sweden,

• publish Transition Plans to implement the transition of the global economy,

• finance the transition: ensure appropriate funding flows to enablers and the Global South.

and that they materialize their commitments into actions.

The ACAI coordinator drives the implementation of the ACAI's strategy and in collaboration with the Finance Practice and local WWF offices, foster synergies, animate debate, and track progress. The consultant will bring technical expertise to the ACAI coordinator and its members.
